I spent some time exploring St Agnes, on the North Coast of Cornwall (sandwiched between St Ives and Newquay) in September, so I thought I’d put together a potential day in the village.
Start with a coffee and a pastry at The Sorting Office, the St Agnes Coffeehouse.
Then, wander around town, checking out the art studios and gift shops. I found The Loft Studio, where Celia Creeper works, full of her bright and wonderful work, of which I was able to get a couple of card reproductions to remember them by.
Then, if you have time, head up to the St Agnes Museum, which is tiny but jammed full of interesting local history – and the staff are extremely welcoming.
After that, head on down to Trevaunance Cove, where you can walk along the beach and then have lunch in Schooners Bistro overlooking the sea.
After lunch and exploring the beach, time to head back up and towards St Agnes Beacon, which gives wonderful views of the sea, across to St Ives, and the old Engine Houses lining the coast, as well as plenty of this gorgeous heather.
Finally, after that – time for some much needed supper! Head down to St Agnes Hotel Bar, where a good burger can be found.
